The garment is all cloth. One gesture over the shoulder and the cashmere does the rest: it drapes, it wraps, it holds its own shape. A cape can only be made in a cloth that deserves it.
DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS
The pattern is one great shawl, crossed over the shoulder. You place it and it stays: the weight of the cashmere itself keeps it where you put it.
A cape built in pure Top Mongolia cashmere — the inner down of the Alashan goat alone — a double-face of 420 g/m², black on both faces. The edges are stitched by hand and both faces are finished alike. It falls 97 centimetres from the shoulder and ends in a point.
A compact cloth with a great deal of volume, silken to the hand, its surface smooth and faintly lustrous: the light slides over it and gives the black a depth that moves with the garment. Extremely warm.
A cloth like this asks only to be accompanied. It does the rest.

Noble fibres gain with time: cashmere softens with wear, and the coat ends up taking the shape of whoever wears it. That process depends on how it is treated. We recommend dry cleaning at a specialist and keeping the coat in its cover between seasons. Full instructions in our Care Guide.

HOW TO MEASURE
With a flexible tape measure, in front of the mirror, without pulling tight.
Bust: place the tape at the fullest point of the bust, take it under the arms and slightly upwards at the back. Back straight.
Waist: the narrowest point of the torso, usually a little above the navel. Tape horizontal, without pulling tight.
Hip: the fullest point of the seat, with feet together. Tape horizontal, without pulling tight.
